Liturgical Music

The mission of the music ministry at St. Patrick's Catholic Church is to bring the beauty of our sacred music heritage to the people of St. Patrick's Parish. Through sung Simple English Propers, Gregorian chant and traditional hymnody, the music ministry strives to maintain a strong Catholic tradition in sacred music.

The music ministry consists of the cantors ministry, adult choir and St. Cecilia Children's Choir. Under the direction of Mrs. Cindy Stillson, the choir sings at the 10:00 mass on Sunday mornings, as well as all solemnities and major feast days. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings, 7:00-9:00, in the choir loft of the church.  The St. Cecilia Children's choir meets on Thursdays during the school year at 2:00 for children attending St. Patrick's School and at 5:30 for children attending other schools.  They sing bi-monthly at the 10:00 mass with the adult choir during the school year.

The music ministry has also recently acquired a three manual, Johannus, Ecclesia III/75 digital organ.  In addition, the children's choir makes use of a two octave, chromatic set of hand bells.

Membership in the choir is accepted throughout the year.  Please contact Mrs. Cindy Stillson, Director of Music, at 742-3320 or for more information, or visit our Facebook page
